Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has played down speculation he is set for a move to Turkish club Besiktas.

The Colombian rarely featured for Arsene Wenger's team last season, which included a four-month period where he failed to make a first team appearance following an error against Olympiakos in the Champions League.

However, with Wojciech Szczesny expected to re-join Roma on loan, Ospina could be an asset to Arsene Wenger in providing cover for Petr Cech.

But Ospina started Arsenal's first pre-season game on Sunday, in a 3-1 win against Chivas and made his future clear afterwards.

"I have a contract with Arsenal, I'm happy with the team," Ospina told the Evening Standard.

"We are fighting for the top of the league. Now we have two weeks until we start the season. These friendlies serve us very well."

Besiktas president recently publicly stated his desire to capture the 27-year-old.
