Manchester United could be set to sign Joao Mario from Inter Milan in a straight swap for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has set his sights on the Armenian and is willing to offer the Portuguese midfielder in exchange. (Corriere dello Sport)
Juventus transfer target Emre Can is '80 per cent' likely to join the Old Lady in January. The hold up is coming from Liverpool not wanting to sell the German international, who is out of contract in the summer. (La Gazzetta dello Sport)
Inter are also close to clinching the signing of former Chelsea midfielder Ramires from Jiangsu Suning. (Tuttosport)
Spain
Barcelona transfer target Philippe Coutinho is closer than ever to signing for the Blaugrana. Liverpool have given up any hope they had of keeping the Brazilian and are now negotiating with the Catalan side, who have made an offer of €150m (£132m) including variables. (Mundo Deportivo)
Meanwhile, Coutinho has told Liverpool he does not want to play for them again in case he risks an injury that may ruin his Barcelona move. (Sport)
Real Madrid transfer target Rafa Mir is set to leave Valencia for Wolves. Los Blancos made a bid of €500,000 (£440,000), but were outbid by the Championship side's €2m (£1.77m) offer. Wolves boss Nuno gave the 20-year-old forward his debut at Valencia back in 2015. (Marca)
Villarreal could make their biggest sale in the coming days. Cedric Bakambu, who has been subject of Tottenham transfer rumours, could leave for China. Beijing Guoan have made a bid of €40m (£35.4m), which meets his buyout clause. (Marca)

David Luiz does not have a future at Chelsea, but there is no clear exit route for him in January. He is, however, a Milan transfer target for next summer. (L'Equipe)
Negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Lassana Diarra are at an advanced stage and the Ligue 1 leaders could complete the signing of the free agent before the end of this week. (SFR Sport)

Germany

Bayern Munich are expected to announce the capture of Leon Goretzka for next summer, a deal largely due to their assistant manager Hermann Gerland, who is a long-term fan of the Schalke midfielder. (Bild)
