Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla says he would sign a new contract with the club if it was offered.

Cazorla, 31, is out of contract in the summer but insists he is very happy at the Emirates despite recently confirming he is yet to receive an offer to extend his deal.

The Spaniard, who joined Arsenal from Malaga in 2012, has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid in the Spanish press, but says his future is with the Gunners.

"Atletico Madrid are an amazing club," Cazorla told Cadena SER. "Just have a look at their results, El Cholo [Diego Simeone] is doing great things. It is not easy to reach two Champions League finals and win the league.

"I am happy here. I am trusted by the manager and my team-mates.

"I am feeling important here, and if they'll offer me a new contract, I'll sign it because I am very happy with this great club."

Cazorla, hit by injury, played only 21 times for Arsenal last season but has scored twice this campaign in seven appearances.
