Blackburn 2-1 Oxford: Rovers win but miss out on title

By PA Sport

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Blackburn and Oxford United.

Substitute Jack Payne's first goal for Blackburn secured a 2-1 victory over Oxford in front of a jubilant Ewood Park.

It was a game of firsts as Darragh Lenihan's first for the club put Blackburn ahead and even Charlie Mulgrew's missed penalty couldn't dampen spirits.

James Henry's equaliser threatened to derail the celebrations but former Oxford loanee Payne fired the winner as Blackburn comfortably finished second in League One.
