Leicester City are close to agreeing a deal with Belgian side Genk to sign teenage midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to Sky Sources.
With add-ons for appearances and international recognition, the total fee could rise to £15m, if terms can be finalised once next month's transfer window opens.
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri has been keen to add to his midfield options after losing N'Golo Kante to Chelsea in the summer.
That, together with Danny Drinkwater's suspension and long-term injuries to Matty James and Nempalys Mendy left the Italian with only two recognised central midfielders for last weekend's game with Middlesbrough - Andy King and Daniel Amartey.
Reports in Africa suggested Manchester United were also interested in Ndidi, but it is understood negotiations with Leicester have been ongoing for several weeks, and both sides are confident a deal can be agreed.
The 19-year-old has already won two senior caps for Nigeria.
