Blackpool 2-0 Bristol Rovers: Simon Grayson wins on managerial return

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One clash between Blackpool and Bristol Rovers.

A bumper crowd of almost 12,000 saw Blackpool cruise to a 2-0 victory against Bristol Rovers.

Simon Grayson celebrated a winning start to his second spell as Blackpool boss thanks to a goal in each half from his side.

Rovers went close early on at a packed Bloomfield Road, the boycotts of last season now well and truly a thing of the past.

The Seasiders' first goal under the new ownership of Simon Sadler came from the penalty spot in the 28th minute.

Experienced skipper Jay Spearing slotted home coolly after keeper Anssi Jaakkola had bundled over Curtis Tilt while stretching to punch away Liam Feeney's cross.

Barely a minute after the restart it was 2-0 when Armand Gnanduillet headed home Spearing's diagonal cross.
