Bristol Rovers 4-2 Southend: Ed Upson scores stunner in classic comeback

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Bristol Rovers and Southend.

Ed Upson produced a candidate for Bristol Rovers’ goal of the season as they fought back from two goals down to beat Southend 4-2 in a Sky Bet League One thriller at the Memorial Stadium.

The visitors took a 13th-minute lead when Brandon Goodship's superb low cross from the right was fired in by Tom Hopper.

It was 2-0 on 36 minutes, as Stephen McLaughlin picked out Goodship with a through ball and the winger coolly beat Anssi Jaakkola with a side-footed finish.

Jonson Clarke-Harris pulled a goal back for Rovers in the 48th minute with a low penalty after he had been needlessly fouled by Elvis Bwomono.

Eight minutes later the home side were level, as Clarke-Harris picked out Tom Nichols with a chip into the box and the ball broke for Abu Ogogo to volley past Nathan Bishop from 10 yards.
