Peterborough 2-2 Ipswich: Luke Chambers salvages late point for Town

Peterborough 2-2 Ipswich

Peterborough were denied a first win of the season after Luke Chambers scored a late equaliser to secure Ipswich a 2-2 draw.

The visitors made a quick start and James Norwood opened the scoring with barely four minutes on the clock - his first goal for his new club.

Norwood was on hand to easily tap in after home stopper Christy Pym spilled the ball into his path.

Posh rallied from conceding early and just before the half-hour mark were on level terms, with Marcus Maddison clipping a precise ball into the box and Ivan Toney nodding home.

The turnaround was complete in the 62nd minute as Mo Eisa opened his Peterborough account after pouncing on a defensive mistake and poking past Town goalkeeper Tomas Holy.

Ipswich then wasted a golden chance to restore parity when Pym kept out Norwood's penalty after Kayden Jackson was felled in the area.
