Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote could now be set for a move to Spain after a deal with Galatasary broke down, according to Sky sources.
The future of the 30-year-old remains in the balance with just hours left on Deadline Day after his transfer to the Turkish club fell through.
But there's still hope of Tiote securing his departure from the Magpies with two Spanish clubs in discussions over his signature.
At the end of July, SSNHQ reported that Newcastle had rejected a bid from Al Jazira for the midfielder.
It was understood the Abu Dhabi side were willing to hand the Ivorian a multi-million-pound three-year deal, but their offer didn't match the Championships side's valuation.
Tiote joined Newcastle from FC Twente in the summer of 2010 for £3.5m. He has not featured in the current season.
