Burton 1-2 Charlton: Jason Pearce lifts Addicks into League One top six

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Burton and Charlton.

Skipper Jason Pearce snatched Charlton a precious away win with an 88th-minute header as his side won 2-1 at Burton.

An enthralling encounter looked set for a draw after the sides traded first-half penalties, Albion taking the lead when Lucas Akins converted after Liam Boyce had been bundled over and Karlan Grant equalising from the spot after being brought down by Kyle McFadzean.

Either side of the penalties it was Albion who dominated large parts of the game.

The Brewers racked up 11 corners in the first half but struggled to get the better of a resilient Charlton defence which was well marshalled by Pearce.

Boyce rifled in an early angled drive that skidded off the wet surface before Lyle Taylor did likewise for the visitors.

Stephen Quinn also saw a rasping shot from just inside the area whistle past the far post when the Addicks could only clear a corner as far as the Irishman.
