Charley Hull looks ahead to the Women's British Open at Kingsbarns

Charley Hull is relishing an exciting summer of women’s golf as she prepares to return to action from an unusual injury.

The 21-year-old found out she had a long-standing fractured wrist after inflaming the injury before the ANA Inspiration, with Hull since taking a brief spell on the sidelines to recover.

Hull will play with the injury for the rest of the career but doesn't expect it to have any impact on her game, in a year where she is likely to play an integral in Europe's Solheim Cup side.

Speaking at a media day ahead of the Women's British Open, live on Sky Sports, Hull said: "I hurt my wrist a few weeks back but it's getting better now.

"I had about eight days off. I did it when I was about 15 and I didn't realise it had been fractured that long!"
