Thomas Bjorn will captain Europe at the 2018 Ryder Cup, but who will skipper the USA side at Le Golf National?
Bjorn was confirmed in the role on Tuesday, having played in three winning Ryder Cup sides and acted as a vice-captain on four occasions - most recently in Europe's 17-11 defeat at Hazeltine.
The USA's Ryder Cup committee are yet to announce who they will have in charge in France, where they will be looking to win on away soil for the first time since 1993.
Jim Furyk is the odds-on favourite to succeed Davis Love III, with the PGA Tour veteran previously featuring in every Ryder Cup from 1997 to 2014 and almost qualifying for a 10th consecutive appearance last time around.
Furyk was one of Love's five vice-captains in Minnesota, with 2006 skipper Tom Lehman, 14-time major champion Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson, and three-time Ryder Cup player Steve Stricker also also assisting the side.
Woods has since made a return to competitive action and may hold hopes of an eighth playing appearance in Paris, while Stricker may be more favoured in 2020 when the tournament is held in his home state of Wisconsin.
Phil Mickelson has already indicated he would like to make a 12th playing appearance next time around but is another possibility, as is Presidents Cup vice-captain Jay Haas.
