Marshawn Lynch's mom demands Seattle Seahawks fire Darrell Bevell

Marshawn Lynch’s mom has taken to Facebook to demand Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell be fired by the team.

Delisa Lynch was unhappy with Bevell's play-calling during Seattle's 34-31 to the St Louis Rams on Sunday in which her son was stuffed on a key fourth-and-1 run play which ended the game in overtime.

Bevell was heavily criticised in the aftermath of the Seahawks' Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots in which Seattle chose to pass instead of run late in the game, allowing Malcolm Butler to intercept Russell Wilson's pass, and his standing in the Lynch household has not improved after Sunday's loss.

Delisa Lynch wrote that Bevell is the "worst play caller ever," and that the run play on fourth-and-1 against the Rams was called only to justify the fact Seattle did not call a run play from the one-yard line in the Super Bowl.

She added that the Seahawks staff "loves" Bevell "more than a win."

The Seahawks travel to Green Bay on Sunday night in a rematch of the NFC championship game and you can watch it live on Sky Sports 2 HD with coverage from 12.30am.
