Martyn Rooney will compete in the individual 400m at the World Athletics Championships later this month after successfully appealing against his omission from the event.
Rooney had already been selected for the 4x400m relay squad and appealed to British Athletics for inclusion in the individual event as well.
And British Athletics announced on Monday: "Following the submission of a successful appeal, Rooney has been added to the team in the 400m.”
Rooney said: "I'm happy that my appeal was successful.
"Now I can focus on preparing for the World Championships and representing Great Britain to the best of my ability."
Rooney produced a timely season’s best in Stockholm last week, clocking 45.41 seconds as he finished third at a Diamond League meeting.
The World Championships take place in Beijing, China from 22-30 August and Jessica Ennis-Hill and Mo Farah will headline Great Britain’s 62-strong squad.
But steeplechaser Lennie Waite and 10,000m runner Andy Vernon lost appeals last week over their omission from the team.
