The British side had begun their campaign with a 75-71 overtime success against Israel on Wednesday, ending a run of six straight losses, but an injury-hit team were no match for a France side inspired by NBA star Tony Parker.
The San Antonio Spurs point guard produced a superb all-round display, scoring 16 points and dishing out five assists, while Nicolas Batum topped the scoring charts for the victors with 17 points.
The French led 26-14 at the end of the first quarter but Great Britain managed to narrow the deficit somewhat by half-time.
However, France dominated the third quarter, a run of 26-11 putting them 71-48 ahead, meaning the final period of the game was played out almost like a training session.
Despite carrying an ankle injury, Daniel Clark top-scored for Great Britain with 16 points, all of which came in the first half.
The British side will now try to return to winning ways against Belgium on Friday.
