Amir Khan's highs and lows have been remembered by his upcoming opponent, Phil Lo Greco.
Former world super-lightweight champion Khan fights in the UK for the first time in five years this Saturday in Liverpool, live on Sky Sports, against Lo Greco.
His rival has remembered Khan's roller-coaster career…
Lo Greco said: I was at the Devon Alexander fight. He did great. Alexander was a southpaw - when you fight a southpaw, you have to be alert 24/7. Your distance and your positioning must be right.
He gave good angles, he was very fast. I was impressed. Every fighter has their 'on' nights. That was his 'on' night.
He beat a good Paulie Malignaggi. Although I remember Paulie killed himself to make the weight.
Khan is fast. But he doesn't fight going backwards - he doesn't know how to. If you notice, he never throws a punch going backwards.
I can't bash the guy - he has done great things. He has won the world title, won the Olympic silver medal. But he has run out of lives because he has been dropped so many times. Sometimes, it's best to pull the plug when you're ahead.
Lo Greco said: Danny Garcia. This is how the Khans sell this fight - here comes the sales pitch! He goes around telling everybody that he was winning this fight.
The way it went was fun. The way he fought was fun. Every time Amir gets timed, he hits the floor. Not because he's not good. He is a good fighter but he has no legs.
He has great upper body movement, but no legs.
The Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez fight - he tells people he was winning. Canelo wasn't even throwing a punch! He was timing Khan, it was just a matter of time.
Watch Khan vs Lo Greco from Liverpool, live on Saturday, April 21, on Sky Sports Main Event & Action, from 7.00pm.
