Ryan Farrag is relishing the chance to challenge Ryan Burnett for the British bantamweight title on October 15.

Farrag (15-2-KO4) handed over his European crown to Karim Guerfi last time out and is determined to get his hands on another title immediately when the pair meet on the undercard of Tony Bellew v BJ Flores.

Against Northern Ireland's Burnett (14-0-KO9), Farrag will again enjoy home advantage and had no hesitation in accepting the chance to face one of Britain's most promising champions in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

In an interview reported in the Liverpool Echo, Farrag said: "It was a straight yes for me. I spoke with my management team at MGM and they offered me the fight.

"They spoke about getting me a warm-up first somewhere in the middle of my camp, then go on and fight for the British so for me it was a straight yes. My coaches all agreed too.

Ryan Burnett outpointed Cesar Ramirez last time out

"He's (Burnett) a big Matchroom fighter but he's coming here to Liverpool to defend that belt and I'm just going to take it off him.

"It's a good fight for me; he's a great fighter, Ryan. This is the level I wanted to go straight back into anyway. My last fight was just unfortunate, I got caught with a good shot. That's the top level and that's where I belong so I didn't want to make a step down.

"Ryan hasn't really been tested in my eyes so we'll find out what he's about on October 15."

Burnett will be making the first defence of the title he won with a unanimous decision over Jason Booth in November 2015.
