David Haye has vowed to make a "big announcement" on Wednesday as speculation continues about his future plans.

The 36-year-old heavyweight announced a possible fight date in December earlier this month, but is yet to confirm an opponent or a venue.

Haye is ranked highly by both the WBA and WBO after picking up two stoppage wins earlier this year and the former WBA heavyweight champion has admitted he is targeting a version of the world title.

He tweeted on Tuesday: "I've got a big announcement to come tomorrow. Be sure to stay tuned..."

Shannon Briggs had been pursuing a fight with Haye and even appeared on the undercard of the Londoner's last win over Arnold Gjergjaj at The O2 in May, but a fight with the American has failed to materialise.
