DeGale's most recent three victories have all come on North American soil and the 2008 Olympic Gold medallist is confident of continuing the streak ahead of the huge unification clash.

"I'm feeling really good, camp has gone great and I'm excited for fight week to get going now," DeGale exclusively told Sky Sports.

"I spent ten days in Miami and have just finished my last sparring and track work and I'm feeling really sharp - my weight is perfect.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Jack at the weigh-in on Friday and coming face-to-face with him so I can look in his eyes and see what he is all about.

"I'm looking forward to seeing Jack at the weigh-in on Friday and coming face-to-face with him so I can look into his eyes and see what he is all about.

"There is no bad blood between us, it is hard to get confrontational with Jack because he isn't like that, he's a good quality fighter who comes to win."

Although 'Chunky' is refusing to overlook Jack, DeGale remains hopeful of setting up a homecoming fight with mandatory challenger Callum Smith.

"That is definitely one fight I am looking forward to. My full focus is on Jack of course and I'm not looking past him, but a fight with Smith is potentially fantastic.

"Touch wood that I get past Jack and it is a great homecoming fight for me, albeit a dangerous one, but let's just see how things go."

James DeGale vs Badou Jack is live on Sky Sports 1 HD on Saturday night from 2am.
