Middleweight boxer Anthony Ogogo updates us on his recovery from a broken eye socket.

Anthony Ogogo is targeting a return to the ring in October as he bids to revive his hopes of becoming a world champion.

The British middleweight (11-1 KO7) has been out of action since last October after suffering a fractured left eye socket in his first career defeat to Craig Cunningham.

Ogogo has since undergone two surgeries to repair the damage and is continuing to receive treatment on the injury, but has returned to the gym as he steps up his recovery.

"I am looking to get back in October," the 28-year-old told Sky Sports News HQ at WWE SmackDown Live!

"I've had two operations on it, it was quite a bad one. I had an injection in it last night and it was gruesome.

"I am working hard in the gym every single day, I am still fit, I am still strong and as soon as my eye is fixed, I am getting back into the ring.
