Mayweather v McGregor: Tony Bellew willing to follow in Mayweather's footsteps and face UFC fighter Michael Bisping

Tony Bellew has revealed he would consider a fight with Britain's UFC champion Michael Bisping inside a ring or a UFC cage.

The Merseysider will travel to Las Vegas to watch UFC superstar Conor McGregor take part in a ground-breaking boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather on August 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and admits he could be interested in facing a Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

Bellew, who is yet to learn his next opponent, has tested himself in other combat codes and might be willing to face the current UFC middleweight champion Bisping under the rules of boxing or MMA.

"I can wrestle, I can grapple, I punch hard, I can kick and I've got some kickboxing experience," Bellew told Sky Sports.

"You can forget about me getting in the cage with Jon Jones [UFC light-heavyweight champion] - not a chance.

"But if you're asking if I would get in the cage with a puncher in the UFC? Mike Bisping is a guy who is predominantly known as a puncher and he's a very strong wrestler as well.

"I think I could get down to 185[lbs]. If the money is right, then Tony Bellew would happily enter a cage or a ring. Maybe let's do one of them each.

The middleweight limit under UFC rules is 185lbs and Bellew previously fought at the 200lb cruiserweight limit in boxing before moving up to heavyweight.
