On Campbell...

'Cool Hand' Campbell has been preparing for his first world title fight, but will not be fazed about going to the US after gaining a wealth of experience on the road during his successful amateur career.

Luke Campbell says he will not be overawed by the big occasion in this weekend's world title fight with Jorge Linares

The Hull man, who is trained by respected Cuban Jorge Rubio, was forced to leave his Miami training base early due to the threat of Hurricane Irma and has since relocated to LA.

But Campbell has retained an air of confidence throughout, exchanging respectful words with Linares, yet full of belief that he will add a world title to his Olympic gold.

On Linares...

The Venezuelan is a familiar face on these shores as he firstly ruined Kevin Mitchell's dreams of winning a world crown with a brutal stoppage win, then racked up two classy points win over Anthony Crolla.

Linares has recently decided to base his career in London and spent part of his training camp at David Haye's Vauxhall gym.

Jorge Linares says he's in 'the best moment of his career' ahead of WBA title defence against Campbell

A three weight-champion, Linares is recognised as one of the finest fighters on the planet, and believes he will be a class above Campbell.

On the line...

Campbell can swiftly establish himself as one of the biggest names in the division and dismiss any lingering concerns that stem from his sole defeat on points to Yvan Mendy in 2015.

A rematch with the Frenchman has failed to materialise, but this would be regarded as a minor blemish on his record if he can topple one of the sport's elite champions.

Linares cannot afford to suffer the fourth defeat of his career as he targets future fights against fellow pound-for-pound duo Vasyl Lomachenko and Mikey Garcia.

Talking point...

The battle-worn Linares has withstood 45 fights and it remains to be seen how long the 32-year-old can continue to punish his body.

Hand injuries have been a problem in the past for Linares, while Campbell is relatively fresh in comparison, and will be hoping to capitalise on any fitness issues that might be shown by the South American.
