Jacobs vs Arias: Daniel Jacobs promises to make Luis Arias eat his words in New York showdown

Daniel Jacobs has promised to make Luis Arias "eat his words" after a fiery final press conference in New York.
The Brooklyn middleweight returns to the ring in the early hours of Sunday morning, live on Sky Sports, eight months after taking Gennady Golovkin the distance.

Jacobs and Arias went face to face for almost a minute and words were exchanged, with Milwaukee's Arias adamant the home fighter will not be able to go the distance this time.
'Miracle Man' though has set his sights on another shot at a world title and promised to shatter his foe's attempt to "boost himself up" in the war of words at Thursday's press conference.
"Expect fireworks," Jacobs told Sky Sports.
"I am looking forward to exploiting everything he does wrong and show him that there are levels in this game and all the things he has been saying, I am going to eat his words.
"I won't say he's got under my skin but it has added extra motivation.
"At this stage in my career, this obviously isn't my first rodeo, but this is the first instance that I did have a guy actually trash-talking me and kind of disrespecting me and trying to get under my skin but when you are professional and have a job to do, you just have to make sure you remain focussed.
"I just think he's trying to boost himself up and believe in his ability to be in that ring with an elite fighter like myself.
"I am not just more experienced than him, I just have more tools. He is a shorter fighter, has shorter arms and has never been in with a guy of my stature."
Arias (18-0-KO9) was the first to leave the stage after the exchange but believes the tense atmosphere will bring the best out of him in the ring.
The showdown at the Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, could be the first time the 27-year-old goes the championship distance but made it clear he is ready to do what Golovkin couldn't and stop Jacobs.
"Let it be known, I am telling the world - and I told Jacobs - I want a war," he told Sky Sports.
"As soon as that bell rings you will see why I want a war. It's going to be rough and ready and I am coming to fight.
"Daniel Jacobs is going to get beaten. If he runs enough and is defensive enough he might make it to the end. If not he is going to get knocked out."
