The Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin rematch on May 5 will be held at The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) and Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) produced a controversial draw in their previous world middleweight title bout on September 16, and the pair are now set to return to the same venue on the Mexican national holiday of Cinco de Mayo for the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, The Ring and vacant lineal middleweight titles.

Golovkin insists he deserved to win the previous title fight and has vowed to set the record straight in the eagerly anticipated rematch.

"It feels right that the rematch returns to the scene of the crime," said Golovkin. "This time there will be no drama with a decision.
