Anthony Crolla will challenge Darleys Perez for the WBA world lightweight title again in Manchester on November 21.
The 28-year-old Mancunian (29-4-3-KO11) will return to the Manchester Arena, where he was controversially denied in July when Perez retained his title via majority draw.
With Perez deducted two points for low blows, one judge scored the fight 116-111 in Crolla's favour and promoter Eddie Hearn was quick to contact the WBA with a view to making an immediate rematch with the Colombian (32-1-1-KO20).
WBA president Gilberto Mendoza agreed that the pair should meet again and now the venue and date have been confirmed for Crolla's second date with destiny.
Hearn said: "I'm so pleased for Anthony that he gets another bite of the cherry on November 21 in his home city.
"I haven't found anyone yet who didn't feel that he won the first fight but that's in the past now and he has to make this count.
"I feel like he is destined to win a world title and on November 21 on a huge night for Manchester and British boxing, I truly believe his dreams will come true."
Crolla has endured a difficult year since seeing a scheduled world title shot at Richar Abril cancelled due to injuries sustained when tackling burglars near his home in late 2014.
