Part Seventeen - Surprise visits and good luck messages

Ricky Hatton is back out in Las Vegas preparing for another crack at the pound-for-pound title. In the build-up to May 2 you can follow the Hitman's every move with his exclusive fight diary on skysports.com. Scroll down for Ricky's latest entry as we take you right behind the scenes... Wednesday, April 29 We popped down the gym today and did some training on the pads with Lee and went through some tactics with Floyd. Then we had a nice surprise when my old mate Amir Khan and his agent, Asif Vali, dropped in to wish me well - even though he shares the same trainer as Manny Pacquiao, of course. After that we were at the MGM Grand for the Hatton Grand Arrival, which will really kick-off the countdown. There I was sat in a stretch limo with Floyd, Lee Beard and our Matt. And I have to say, with fight night still a few days off, the turnout was amazing. Following that I did a gentle workout in the ring in the MGM Garden Arena itself before a quick coffee and back to the apartment to play cards. The game was interrupted though, by a visit from my old mate from Granada TV, Mike Hall, with a DVD full of message from well-wishers from all walks of life. There I was watching messages from the locals in our pub back home through to celebrities like Noel Gallagher, David Beckham and Paul O'Grady - I won't print what he suggested I do to Manny - right the way up to none other than the Prime Minister himself, Gordon Brown. What a cracking way to end the day - I needed early night after that!
