Anthony Joshua explained his family life in more detail than ever before on Tuesday, revealing the human side behind his pursuit of greatness against Wladimir Klitschko.
The IBF heavyweight champion's softer side was on show as he explained his relationship with his mother and his son.
Joshua told Behind The Ropes (repeated at 10.45pm on Sky Sports 1 HD) about his son: "Becoming a father hasn't changed me that much, because I was always a family man anyway.
"I am just setting the foundations for him to follow."
Absent from Wembley this weekend will be Joshua's mother. He said: "My old man will be there but I don't really let my mum come to my fights.
"I've banned her. It's not a place where you want to see your kid, I don't think, at a fight. My dad can watch it, but not my mum."
Before tensions boil over later this week with the public workouts, press conference and weigh-in, George Groves gave us a heartfelt reminder about what happens when a Wembley dream goes horribly wrong.
"It doesn't haunt me, but I am never going to be content with it," said Groves about his defeat to Carl Froch at the national stadium three years ago. It was a startling interview about a feeling that will await either Joshua or Klitschko on Sunday morning.
The difficulties of sharing the ring with Joshua were astutely explained by his most recent opponent Eric Molina, who lasted three rounds in December.
"His hand speed that came with his size, that's one of the biggest things," said Molina. "You don't see a heavyweight of his size come out with the hand speed and the combinations that he is able to come up with, without giving the tells that he's about to fire out."
And finally, the officials for this weekend's world heavyweight championship fight were confirmed. David Fields (USA) will be the third man in the ring, and the judges have been named as Don Trella (USA), Nelson Vazquez (Puerto Rico) and Steve Weisfeld (USA).
