The 27-year-old has undergone an injection to treat patella tendinitis in his knee and faces a race against time to be fit for England's opener against New Zealand on March 22.
Giles said of Broad's recovery: "He's got stuff going on in his knee, and we've got to manage him.
"Until we get to Bangladesh, and the first couple of games there, we won't really know. But we're confident."
When asked whether the injections could guarantee Broad's participation in the tournament, Giles added: "You hope so. They tend to do the job.
"In the long term, you have to look at different options. But I think he'll be fine for Bangladesh."
England have already lost their T20 series in the West Indies but can go some way to atoning for two lacklustre performances in Thursday's final game in Bridgetown, which you can see live on Sky Sports.
