Stuart Broad is the latest player to confirm he will join the England squad on their tour of Bangladesh next month despite security fears

Stuart Broad has told Sky Sports News HQ he has made up his mind to tour Bangladesh with England next month.

The England and Wales Cricket board has briefed players on tour safety in the wake of a terrorist attack in Dhaka in July, and it will be down to each player to make a personal decision.

"I'm going to go to Bangladesh," said the fast bowler, who joins Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan in confirming his availability.

"It's been a tough decision because safety is hugely important.

"But at the meeting with the ECB that I attended Reg Dickason, who has been a security officer for many years and I have toured a lot with, gave his views on it - that sort of settled me down quite a bit.

"Of course family is always an interesting discussion, because there is always that [question]: is there a massive need for you to go? Why put yourself at risk? Why do you need all this protection around you?

"But my gut feelings was I should be on that plane to tour Bangladesh with the England cricket team and that's the decision I have come to."

Broad's father Chris, the former England opener and International Cricket Council official, was on the Sri Lanka team bus attacked by gunmen in Lahore in March 2009 along with current England coaching team Trevor Bayliss and Paul Farbrace.

Broad added: "My dad went through an awful experience where he was involved in shootings and stuff, so it has been a big thinking point for me. But I think it is right for me to go."

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales have decided not to make themselves available for the trip to Bangladesh.

Morgan had recently hinted he was considering opting out of the limited-overs portion of the tour which comprises of three ODIs and one warm-up fixture between October 3-12.
