England batsman Jason Roy will play for the Sydney Sixers in the upcoming Big Bash League.
The one-day international and T20 star, 26, has previously played for the Sixers' city rivals Sydney Thunder.
He will feature in the first five matches before he is expected to link up with England's limited-overs squad for the tour of India.
"I've spent quite a bit of time in Sydney, it's a beautiful place to go and it's obviously an historical ground," Surrey star Roy told the Sixers' official website.
"To get the opportunity to play at the SCG is obviously a massive ambition of mine and I'm going to be doing it so I'm buzzing."
Sixers head coach Greg Shipperd said: "Jason Roy is a crucial addition to our squad and is one of the world's most exciting emerging and talented T20 cricketers.
"Jason will further bolster our huge potential at the top of the order. Match-winning performances are a signal to a team's success and he possesses the ability to win a game like a number of our players.
"Jason is known as an explosive weapon at the top of the order and we look forward to his contribution bringing also his English experiences from which we can share."
