Highlights of the third day of the fourth Test between India and England in Mumbai

Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay both hit hundreds as India built a first-innings lead on day three of the fourth Test in Mumbai, closing on 451-7.

Click play on the video above to see the best of the action on the third day as Kohli (147no) again frustrated the England attack, scoring his 15th Test ton, while Vijay (136) notched his eighth earlier in the day.

In between the two hundreds, England's spinners ran through the India middle order - four wickets falling for 45 runs - but an unbroken eighth-wicket stand between Kohli and Jayant Yadav (30no) saw the hosts safely through to stumps with a 51-run lead.

Test Cricket: The Verdict

Resuming on 146-1, India lost Cheteshwar Pujara (47) without adding to their total as the No 3 shouldered arms to Jake Ball from the second ball of the day and saw his off stump pegged back.

From there until lunch though, it was all India. Kohli arrived at the crease and was quickly into his stride, while Vijay went through through to his hundred, and the century partnership came up in the final over before lunch.

With England in desperate need of wickets in the afternoon session, they duly arrived - Vijay smashing the ball back to Adil Rashid, who took a sharp return catch at the second attempt. Moeen Ali then trapped Karun Nair (13) lbw and Joe Root took two quick wickets.

The England vice-captain had Parthiv Patel (15) caught behind and then removed Ravichandran Ashwin for a duck, Keaton Jennings taking the catch at short leg.
