Work is underway in India on the world's biggest cricket stadium, which will eventually be able to accommodate 110,000 spectators.
The stadium in Ahmedabad is being built on the site of the Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium, which could hold more than 50,000 fans.
Gujarat Cricket Association vice president Parimal Nathwani put the overall cost of the project at seven billion rupees (£84m).
The new stadium will surpass the Melbourne Cricket Ground as the sport's biggest venue, with the MCG - which holds around 100,000 - having taken over from Eden Gardens in Kolkata when that venue had its capacity cut by redevelopment.
Nathwani said the complex would take two years to complete, and also include three practice grounds and an indoor cricket academy.
"The stadium will have 76 corporate boxes, four dressing rooms, a clubhouse and an Olympic-size swimming pool," Nathwani added.
The completed stadium is also expected to be the home of the Gujarat Lions, who compete in the Indian Premier League.
