"The line-up on Sky Sports Cricket will be one to remember"
Monday 4 November 2019 12:22, UK
England will encounter an Indian summer in 2018 as Virat Kohli and his charges head over for three T20Is, three ODIs and five Test matches, all live on Sky Sports Cricket.
Kohli averaged just 13.40 with a top score of 39 when India lost 3-1 in England in Tests in 2014 but has gone from strength to strength since then, striking five Test tons in 2017 alone.
The 29-year-old averaged over 109 when England visited India in 2016 and will be eager to make his mark away to Joe Root's side, amid a bumper year of action on Sky Sports Cricket.
England will kick off their home summer with a two-Test series against Pakistan in May and June, before Eoin Morgan takes the reins for a one-off one-day international against Scotland in Edinburgh and five one-dayers and a Twenty20 international against Australia.
Morgan's men will then face India in six limited-overs games in July, before Root resumes control for the Tests in August and September, at Edgbaston, Lord's, Trent Bridge, the Ageas Bowl and the Oval.
Former Sri Lanka captain, Kumar Sangakkara, joins a star-studded line-up of legends in the commentary box throughout the summer, including former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, Indian spin bowler Harbhajan Singh and Pakistan legend Wasim Akram.
Regulars David 'Bumble' Lloyd, Nasser Hussain, Michael Atherton, Sir Ian Botham, David Gower and Michael Holding will also be joined by former England internationals Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford-Brent.
One of the most iconic cricketing moments of 2017 was when Anya Shrubsole's 6-36 inspired England Women to a stunning comeback win in the World Cup final against India at a sold-out Lord's, live on Sky Sports.
We'll be with Heather Knight's side again in 2018, when they welcome New Zealand and South Africa to these shores for a series of limited-overs games in June and July.
England will open up with three ODIs against South Africa and conclude their summer with three against New Zealand, with a T20 tri-series to be contested in between.
An ICC title will then be England Women's target in November as they head to the Caribbean for the sixth Women's World Twenty20 - England won the inaugural tournament in 2009 but have not triumphed since, losing in the final to Australia in 2012 and 2014.
We'll also broadcast the expanded Kia Women's Super League - each side will now play the others twice in the league phase - with Finals Day set for Monday, August 27 at Hove.
As ever, Sky Sports remains your home of domestic cricket, as we see if Nottinghamshire Outlaws can successfully defend the Vitality Blast and Royal London One-Day Cup having completed the white-ball double in 2017.
Essex, meanwhile, will be aiming for back-to-back Specsavers County Championship crowns as new coach Anthony McGrath looks to build on the sterling job done by the outgoing Chris Silverwood.
