England captain Paul Collingwood praised Chris Tremlett for his bouncebackability after he took two crucial wickets in the win over India at Edgbaston.
The Hampshire seamer has struggled to make an impact in one-day cricket and went into the third match of the NatWest Series having conceded 145 runs in his last two matches.
His first two overs in Birmingham suggested it would be another tough afternoon with the ball as he conceded 20 runs.
However, the 25-year-old showed great character to recover from the early setback, ending a third-wicket stand of 104 when he bowled Rahul Dravid at the start of his second spell.
He also dismissed Sourav Ganguly for 74 soon after as England went on to record a 42-run win in Birmingham.
"What you saw at Edgbaston is that he's got the character to bounce back," said Collingwood.

"We had a lot of faith in him and he didn't start off too well but came back and got those really important wickets at an important time - things like that, and bowlers like that, can change a game."
Tremlett's international career looked to be over before it had barely begun after he struggled in the Commonwealth Bank Series in Australia last winter.
Injury problems and concerns over his ability under pressure left him looking on from afar until he was called up to replace Steve Harmison for the first Test against India at Lord's.
Since then he has stayed healthy and has certainly impressed Collingwood, who feels Tremlett is now a much better bowler from the one on display Down Under.
"I just think he is relaxed, quite laid back," said England's one-day skipper.
"I think we saw in the Test series he has moved on leaps and bounds since Australia.
"He's improving all the time. He's a huge guy and he just needs to get that aggression going sometimes and showed signs of that yesterday."
