Elia Viviani claimed his second victory of the Vuelta a Espana after a bunch sprint at the end of stage 10 in Fermoselle.
The Italian sprinter ensured a double celebration for the Quick-Step Floors team, whose Julian Alaphilippe had earlier won stage three of the Tour of Britain.
His win had no effect on the overall standings with Simon Yates retaining the overall lead after the 177km stage, which featured just one third-category climb, despite puncturing with 15km remaining.
Viviani, who also won stage three, hit the front inside the final 200m after an excellent lead out from team-mate Fabio Sabatini.
He briefly cut across Peter Sagan but always looked to be in control and had nearly two bike lengths in hand of the world champion when he crossed the line.
Giacomo Nizzolo finished strongly to claim third place with Yates safely in the bunch after a finish that included some rough road surfaces and saw Yates and general classification contenders Nairo Quintana and Wilco Kelderman suffer punctures.
Yates retains the red jersey by a single second from Alejandro Valverde ahead of a lumpy stage 11 which includes one second and three third-category climbs.
