World Grand Prix Darts: Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld meet on Night One
Monday 5 October 2015 07:46, UK
The World Grand Prix Darts live from Dublin opens with a bang on Sunday night as two former world champions Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld meet in a huge first round clash.
World No 5 Lewis will be disappointed to have drawn five-time world champ Barney in the first round, but he'll be confident in his recent form against the Dutchman.
Lewis and Van Barneveld have played each other seven times in 2015 with two-time Ally Pally victor Lewis coming out on top on five occasions.
When these two greats meet it is often epic - we only have to look back to their last-16 tie at the World Championship, where Lewis was beaten 4-3 after hitting a nine-dart finish.
And that match is only one on a night full of darting dream line-ups...
World No 1 Michael van Gerwen faces young star Keegan Brown in his first round match. The pair have been exchanging words this week on SkySports.com as the pre-match jousting hots up.
The charismatic and colourful Peter Wright is in action - who knows what he'll be wearing - on Sunday night against Premier League semi-finalist Dave Chisnall.
Two Welsh wonders will also take to the oche. Mark Webster is up against Stephen Bunting while World Matchplay surprise hit Gerwyn Price takes on Michael Smith.
We round off our first night of action with the in-form Jelle Klassen against Northern Ireland's Brendan Dolan.
