Gary Anderson faces Adrian Lewis again on Premier League Night One

Gary Anderson starts the defence of his Premier League title against Adrian Lewis in a repeat of their recent clash at Alexandra Palace.

The Scot retained his World Championship crown last weekend with a defeat of Lewis in London and the pair will meet again on the opening night of the Premier League in Leeds on February 4.

Four other former Premier League champions will collide on the first evening of fixtures, with six-time winner Phil Taylor taking on 2014 champion Raymond van Barneveld.

World No 1 Michael van Gerwen, the 2013 Premier League champion and last year's beaten finalist, faces 2009 winner James Wade.

Debutant Michael Smith will open up the season against former World Championship finalist Peter Wright, while reigning World Grand Prix champion Robert Thornton makes his return to the tournament against 2015 semi-finalist Dave Chisnall.

On the second league night in Newcastle, Anderson will renew his rivalry with Van Gerwen in a repeat of the 2015 Premier League final.

Taylor continues his campaign against Wade, while Lewis takes on Chisnall, van Barneveld plays Wright and Smith meets Thornton.
