What better way to wind down after a day on the golf course than by throwing a few darts?
Dame Laura Davies, England's most accomplished female golfer, has always loved the arrows and will be tuning into the World Darts Championship, live on Sky Sports between December 17-January 3.
We asked Davies why she #lovesthedarts...
Why do you love darts?
I've just always played it. I've always had a dart board in the house. I like playing.
When was the last time you played darts?
Last night! We had the Ladies European Tour (LET) team play in the local pub after the first round at The Queens presented by Kowa in Nagoya, Japan.
Do you play now?
Not a lot, but when anyone asks I'll always have a game of darts.
Have you ever hit a 180?
I've done it twice.
Which is your favourite darts tournament to watch?
The World Darts Championship at Ally Pally. Especially the time of year it is, at Christmas. It's always something to watch.
What's the most memorable darts moment you've seen?
I think in the old days, Jocky Wilson and Alan Evans. He was a Welsh player. He and Jocky got into a virtual punch-up on the oche and I'll never forget it. Jocky was a crazy man but Evans was too, so it was fun to watch.
Who is your favourite darts player and why?
I like Eric Bristow. I used to love the Crafty Cockney.
If you were at Ally Pally this year what would be your fancy dress outfit of choice?
Probably a Liverpool liver bird.
If you were a darts player what would your name be?
Laura 'The Lazy' Davies.
How about your walk-on music?
Something upbeat like a bit of techno with strobe lights.
Who are you tipping for this year's World Championship?
It's got to be Michael van Gerwen.
