Phil Taylor hit a record average for the World Series in eliminating Gary Anderson at the Sydney Masters' quarter-final stage.
'The Power' struck 112.41, the highest ever achieved in the PDC's travelling events, in a brilliant 10-2 win against the world champion Anderson on Friday.
"The checking out was some of the best I've ever done in my whole career," Taylor said. "I just seemed to be very relaxed and didn't feel the pressure at all, and I felt lovely and comfortable.
"Sometimes they go in and sometimes they don't, but they went in tonight and I felt a bit for Gary because I didn't give him a chance. I've been doing everything possible to win this."
Taylor next plays Dave Chisnall, who beat Adrian Lewis 10-5, in the semi-finals. Michael van Gerwen defeated Kyle Anderson 10-6 and advances to face Peter Wright, who bettered Rhys Mathewson 10-4.
