Michael van Gerwen brushed aside compatriot Vincent van der Voort and Josh Payne to take his place in the quarter-finals of the Players Championship Finals at the Butlins Minehead Resort.
Defending champion Van Gerwen averaged 102 en route to a 6-1 win in his second-round clash with Van der Voort before meeting Payne in the evening session.
Payne won the first two legs of their clash before the Dutchman came into his own, winning 10 legs on the trot to seal a 10-2 win and set up a quarter-final clash with Raymond van Barneveld.
Van Barneveld had earlier claimed a 6-4 second round win over two-time world champion Adrian Lewis before strolling to a 10-2 victory against Joe Cullen.
Kim Huybrechts produced a sensational 108 average in the afternoon session as he defeated Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney to set up a third-round match with Brendan Dolan. And the Belgian ended Dolan's participation in the event in some style with a 170 checkout in the last leg of their match to clinch a 10-4 victory.
Huybrechts will meet flamboyant Englishman Peter Wright in the quarter-finals after he eased to a 10-3 win over Ron Meulenkamp.
Earlier in the day, Meulenkamp had claimed the biggest scalp of his career with a 6-5 win over reigning world champion Gary Anderson.
Elsewhere, Dave Chisnall edged Jelle Klaasen in a 10-9 thriller. Darren Webster overcame Alan Norris 10-5, Christian Kist beat Justin Pipe 10-6 and Robbie Green was a 10-7 victor over Terry Jenkins.
