MVG playing twice to make up his game in hand after back injury
Thursday 23 March 2017 23:14, UK
The penultimate Premier League night before Judgement Night sees Dutch rivals Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld face off in Manchester.
Van Gerwen will be playing twice to make up his game in hand after being forced to miss the visit to Exeter a fortnight ago with a back injury.
The world No 1 one plays James Wade and Dutch compatriot Van Barneveld in the game of the night, while table-topping Peter Wright meets six-time winner Phil Taylor.
UK Open champion Wright remains a point clear of Van Gerwen at the top of the league table following his 7-4 win over Dave Chisnall, but faces 'The Power', who is still smarting from his 7-4 loss to the World Champion in Rotterdam last Thursday.
Two-time Premier League winner Gary Anderson faces Belgian Kim Huybrechts, while bottom-placed Jelle Klaasen takes on Adrian Lewis desperate for a victory to keep his hopes of survival alive before the stars head to Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena a week later for Judgement Night.
Eighth-placed Dave Chisnall will sit out the night after playing twice in Exeter and the St Helens' thrower will be nervously looking over his shoulder hoping Huybrechts and Klaasen fail to pick up any points.
