Michael van Gerwen won his 100th PDC title on Saturday in Wigan, in the UK Open Qualifiers.

The world No 1 won the £10,000 prize for the second consecutive day after beating Darren Webster in the final for his milestone victory.

World champion Rob Cross, however, suffered another disappointing outing with a first-round exit at the hands of Jamie Hughes. Cross had previously been beaten by Van Gerwen on the opening night of Premier League Darts, having claimed the World Championship in January.
