So where would be my dream Premier League venue? Rio? Mexico City perhaps, wait, it's got to be New York. Madison Square Garden, New York City - oh man can you imagine the noise, I am all about the noise.

Berlin will want to be noisier than Rotterdam, nosier than Dublin and I think they will create such an atmosphere. It has got to the point where the cities seem to be competing against each other and that is so good for the game.

The Germans love their quality sport and I think they are going to get it abundance on Thursday night.

Live Premier League Darts

The crowd are going to be raucous but will show the respect to the 180s and the big finishes. They are proper fans and they are going to be watching darts.<p>Looking down the list of matches it is a great card - what we have got is contests.

Michael Smith v Simon Whitlock

UNIBET PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS 2018

A top-of-the-table clash and after three weeks, I did not think I would be saying that. Simon played brilliantly the first week but since then his opponents haven't played well. Michael has got a bit of the rub of the green which he hasn't always got.

They have both taken their chances and this week something may have to give, although it could be a draw. I fancy Michael Smith though. He is talking like a man who feels good about his game.

Under pressure, Michael's doubles are slightly better than Simon - although in fairness so far in the Premier League Simon is doubling better than anyone else, but it has been his downfall when he has failed.

They will both play at a pace because Simon keeps up with the best of them but Michael seems to have turned a corner in his career and I think he will fancy this. Michael to nick a tight one 7-4 or 7-5.

“I want to be best player on the planet, I want to be Michael van Gerwen, I want to take his spot."

Gerwyn Price v Mensur Suljovic

UNIBET PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS 2018

Mensur seems to be finding a way to not pick up a point or even two while Gerwyn is grinding and finding a way to get a point.

The finishing against Mensur from his opponents has been incredible, between the three of them they have only missed 13 darts a double combined, that is lunacy and he has walked into it.

Grinding out points when you are not at your best is so difficult so for Gerwyn to pull out draws from 5-1 down and 5-2 down has been great. His finishing last week was incredible and he has started to do a Rob Cross and take his time when going for a double and that's working for him.

Gerwyn is not playing at his best but I fancy another tight one and Price to get his first Premier League win with a 7-5/7-4 victory.

Michael van Gerwen v Daryl Gurney

UNIBET PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS 2018

MvG-Anderson last week was one of those amazing passages of play, I was mesmerised by the pace, the accuracy and the mentality - you cannot help but get carried away even when you are having commentate on it.

As I have said so many times, I really can't see Michael losing a darts match, unless it's against Barney, his nemesis. Michael can destroy anyone on any given day and he could do the same again to Daryl who is playing all right.

He thinks he is not at his best and that is testament to how good he is - he is such a good player and his mentality is great, I've got so much time for Daryl Gurney.

His doubling has been poor so far and against Van Gerwen he will get limited chances. He will have to put his outer ring struggles right early or he will get nothing. I see a 7-3 win for Michael, averaging 106.77.

Rob Cross v Raymond van Barneveld

UNIBET PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS 2018

I think this will be the match of the evening. Michael and Daryl might produce the real quality but these two are so well evenly matched - I see a few high shots and the pair are relentlessly consistent

The way that they play the game is so similar, Rob switches a little bit more but they are both deadly on things like 121, they will often leave themselves a dart at bullseye off a 161, 164 or 167.

Rob has had his wobble and he is fine now, Barney looked a bit lacklustre and that wasn't good to see this early but I think he will rise to the occasion. Everyone loves him and they will love him in Berlin - that said I am still going to go for a draw.

Peter Wright v Gary Anderson

UNIBET PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS 2018

You are only as good as the last leg you won and Gary took out a 170 - he played brilliantly under pressure.

In week one he was a shell of the man that we are seeing now since they told him his back was only a muscle problem he is playing well and throwing with confidence.

Peter can falter against Gary who gets the better of him a lot. I think Peter will play well but get nothing from it, I don't know if he feels intimidated by the twice world champ

I am going to go for Gary as last week is still so fresh and he has got better and better week after week.

The Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin is Thursday night's venue with coverage underway from 7pm on Sky Sports Action, Main Event, and Mix. The season continues through to the conclusion on May 17 with the Play-Offs at The O2 in London.
