Gary Anderson was in phenomenal form in Rotterdam on Wednesday night and he came close to darting heaven with a near nine-dart attempt.
'The Flying Scotsman' was playing darts from another planet on a night where he collected two wins from two matches to move into third spot in the Premier League standings.
Anderson had earlier eased to a 7-2 victory over Michael Smith, who dropped to fourth, with a stunning 109 average in the opening match of the evening.
But an amazing night could have ended in spectacular fashion during his impressive 7-3 win over world champion Rob Cross in the final game of the night.
He was one dart away from darting perfection when leading 5-2. The 47-year-old hit a 180 and followed it up with three more T20s to leave him with 141. After sinking T20 and T19, he wired D12 for what would have been the ninth nine-darter in the history of the Premier League.
