Brendon Hartley has a massive accident during Practice 3 of the British GP from Silverstone.

Brendon Hartley was ruled out of qualifying after a scary crash at the British GP following a huge suspension failure on his Toro Rosso during Practice Three.

Hartley was speeding down Silverstone's Wellington Straight at around 200mph when his front-left suspension buckled as he hit the brake into Brooklands, removing the tyre, and he was merely a passenger as his Toro Rosso went into the gravel and into a big impact with the barrier.

Thankfully, the driver reported over team radio that he was fine and walked away from the wreckage to head to the medical centre, where he was cleared to take part in qualifying, but the damage of his car was too severe for Saturday's session

"I'm fine," Hartley told Sky F1. "The car was definitely not fine.

"It's disappointing not to make qualifying as the car was feeling good before the suspension failed. I know everyone's not taking lightly and I have full faith that we'll get the car ready for Sunday's race."

The huge shunt brought worrying safety concerns for Toro Rosso, who had to change every bit of suspension on all corners of Pierre Gasly's car for qualifying.
