Les Parry was pleased to see Tranmere follow up Tuesday's point at Carlisle with a 1-1 draw against League One leaders Charlton.
Ryan Brunt put Tranmere ahead in the 33rd minute at Prenton Park on Saturday as he flicked a speculative overhead shot by Martin Devaney out of the reach of Addicks goalkeeper Ben Hamer and inside the far post. Charlton equalised after an hour when Michael Morrison headed in off the underside of the crossbar from a Dale Stephens corner. "I've got to consider it a good result for us," said Parry. "We thoroughly deserved at least a point. We've got to be happy. "They started better than us. Being against the wind we didn't look happy but once we got the ball down we put together some fantastic passing moves. "We deserved our goal and to be 1-0 up at the break. We knew if we didn't score we would lose the game. Charlton score in nearly every match. They got one sniff and were level. But I was unhappy with the corner which led to the equaliser. It annoyed me and we've got to learn."
