Brown bags new Pirates deal

Bristol Rovers have given Wayne Brown a six-month contract, handing the midfielder a short-term deal due to an injury he suffered last term.

Brown suffered a serious ankle injury last season, which ruled him out for most of the campaign. "I'm glad it's sorted now. I'm ready to crack on and I'm really looking forward to starting pre season training [on Thursday]," he told the club's official website. "I know that it's only a six-month contract, but I'm looking on the positive side of things. I had a bad injury last year and the manager hasn't seen too much of me. "He's been great with me though and given me the opportunity to come back and prove my fitness and show him what I can do. "My aim now is to impress during pre season, with a view to being in the starting line-up at the beginning of the season."
