Mowbray coy on Ricketts link

Coventry boss Tony Mowbray has refused to play down links to to Wolves defender Sam Ricketts.

The 33-year-old has made just five appearances this season and has not played since November. Mowbray is hunting new recruits to aid the Sky Blues' fight against Sky Bet League One relegation, which received a boost following Saturday's 3-2 win at Chesterfield. And Mowbray hinted he was looking at the experienced Ricketts. "I have to say watch this space," he told the Coventry Telegraph. "I'm trying to improve the squad and add players to help win these next few games. "Sometimes experience can calm a dressing room down. "Someone who has been there seen it and done it. We are looking for all types of players who can help." Mowbray is also set to make a decision on Chris Stokes with the Forest Green loanee's deal expiring after Tuesday's game at Fleetwood. "Chris Stokes is doing fine and made a huge step up to the level he wants to get to," he said. "He's really good at some aspects of his game and has to work at others. "But he's great to work with, looks you right in the eye and wants to learn and I'll make a decision after Tuesday's game."
