Brentford have confirmed the signing of striker Mike Grella after he agreed to mutually terminate his contract at Leeds.

The 24-year-old American arrived in England in 2009 and signed a contract at Elland Road after a successful trial. However, Grella only managed one league goal for the West Yorkshire club and was transfer listed earlier this year. Mark Warburton, Brentford's sporting director told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have Mike onboard. He is a proven goalscorer and we are all looking forward to seeing him perform in a Brentford shirt. "Mike is excited to be part of the changing scenery at Griffin Park and he will complement the striking talent we already have here in Gary Alexander and Clayton Donaldson." Brentford have also revealed that striker Charlie MacDonald has left the club and joined MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.
