Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio is desperate to sign a striker on loan after watching his side draw 1-1 at AFC Wimbledon.
Di Canio started with Alan Connell and Jake Jervis up front for the trip, with Lukas Magera and Mehdi Kerrouche both injured Although the pair combined to net the equaliser which extended the Robins' unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions, their manager was unhappy with several chances which went begging as his side pushed for a winner. With just three days remaining until the loan window slams shut, time is running out for the Italian to draft in new recruits. But he is determined to bring in fresh blood in time for the clash with Aldershot on Saturday. "We only had two strikers available (at AFC Wimbledon) and towards the end of the game I could not change them," he told the Swindon Advertiser. "You can imagine what difference a fresh striker would have made if I had one on the bench able to come on and for this reason I will be even more straight with my club, who have completely supported me, that I need another striker."
